philosopher's grotto

The mountain in the Southern District is also home to a series of cave corridors, and an elaborate and well-furnished labyrinth. The Philosopher's Grotto has been the result of the Gorillas of the South occupying its large domain. Despite finding a habitat within the a supposed dark and dank location, it is quite the opposite on the inside. The grotto is a well decorated base of operations, complete with various facilities. Much of it resembles the inside of a mansion, and the sub levels are attached to a the remnants of a decayed subway station, though its path is blocked by a cave-in.
