As a result of the Antares supernova, a segment of the human population has developed what the media is calling superpowers. Out of fear and spite, humanity captured the Altered and shipped them to a remote island with an unknown location to serve out their life as prisoners. The self-made society of the prison has erected several factions who currently contest for power. Join the site as a new prisoner and begin to develop your plot and powers; or, join the site as a prison guard to maintain order and develop your fighting style and weaponry.
PROLOGUE (2012)
As the sky filled with a vibrant hue of red and orange, the world was cast into twelve nightless days. It marveled the people of earth, and most seemed shocked by the phenomenon, though it came to light as a scientifically explainable event. It was immediately reported that it was the result of Antares, the brightest star of the summer constellation, "scorpius", going supernova. They claimed that it was the light from the destruction of a star four hundred and thirty light years away, and that this strange happening was nothing more than that very light taking over four hundred years to reach us. However, the phenomenon that spread that following night, was something that could not be explained by any kind of science.
As if in response to the astronomical phenomenon, a sudden reaction triggered in nearly a quarter of the human population; inciting what some may refer to as evolution. At the genetic level, these humans were substantially altered, resulting in the mutation of their biology to the point that they acquired what the media calls "superpowers". As a result of this sudden evolution, humanity began to fear and spite their successors, contributing to a rising tension between the Altered and the Humans. The government treated them like animals, capturing who they could to run secret tests and experiments on this bizarre new species.
In normal society, altered were outcast, mostly by the majority, but even by close friends and family. Children were abandoned out of fear, and the hatred that festered as an outcome led to revolution. Inspired by their hatred, many altered participated in terrorist acts, as if lashing back against humanity. Thousands of lives were lost, but before it could get any worse the United Nations devised a new initiative. Regardless of whether they were innocent or criminal, altered from around the world were captured and imprisoned on a remote island – whose location remains a mystery. People were torn from their homes – men, women, and children alike – and treated like monsters as their belated kin bound them and loaded them onto a ship. For some, this was paradise. Others would come to find the hell that awaited them.

CHAPTER ONE (2024)
Forced from your home, you found youself bound by the heavy metal plates of an advanced handcuff. Dressed in the plain red uniform of a prisoner, a small label on your left breast indicates your inmate identification number. As you looked around, you noticed yourself surrounded by hundreds of altered, lined in rows just as you are. The mood seems dreary, and everyone marched towards the boarding dock; a massive steel vessile floated before you, though its jet black facade depicted it as more of a coffin than a ship. At the crest of the boarding dock, the captain stood firm with a gleaming smile and hands tucked behind his back. Naval officers formed a wall behind him, fully automatic weaponry held in a horizontal grip. " Welcome prisoners," he began in a cheerful tone, " I, Captain Kurosaki, am responsible for the transportation of prisoners. I'm sure you're all wondering "why me"...that its unfair, unreasonable. Thats probably what you're thinking. I empathize with all of you from the bottom of my heart. Shortly you will all be sent to a certain island, a special island prepared for all of you – an isolated island prison. Lets call it, Area D." As he paused to clear his throat, discrepancy broke out amongst the crowd of prisoners, detesting or praising his claims. " For your safety, the real name and the location of the island will not be disclosed. Think of the letter "D" as the first letter of "Dream". It's a paradise-like island where all of you will be able to fulfill your dreams. I hope that all of you are able to correct your ways and successfully return to society!" He said at last extending his arms in a cheerful gesture, but many amongst you called him a liar. Some even suggested that the "D" actually stands for death. However, those who chose to act on this premise were gunned down immediately. Suddenly the atmosphere changed, and Kurosaki emit a strong blood thirst, unveiling his murderous roar, " You people are monsters that upset the order of society... Dangerous elements, that must be imprisoned for the sake of humanity. For all your murder, destruction, and crime; you will be locked up forever!"As several corpes lay mangled at the hands of a gattling gun, silence fell over the prisoners' protest. Seeing the result of revolt, they realized that cooperation was the only option, and boarded the ship. Inside, you were released of your restraints and placed in an area for prisoners, including a sleeping quarters, a dining hall, and exposed restrooms. After a several day journey, subgroups begun to form aboard the vessel, and people began to imagine the world that awaited you. But when you exit, all that stands before you is a massive gate, and two adjacent statues. At the base of which, an inscription reads: [/i][/ul] As the gate slid open, it parted down the center, revealing several figures as they stepped out from behind it. Heavily armored soldiers backed a rabbit-like man, who stopped to check the time on his clock. " Everyone, welcome to Area D! I'm nuinui, your guide – please call me nui-tan," he declared in a squeeky, cheerful voice. When nothing was returned but the hateful silence of the prisoners, he continued his introduction, " What's this? No one is excited? Then let's greet each other with a big hell—" But before he could finish, a prisoner interrupted, saying the few words on everyone's mind: cut the crap already. " Using such rude language, isn't good, ok? I'll just give you an infraction," he replied, in the same cheerful tone. But when the man continued to question him, a second infraction was given. Out of frustration, he lashed out, receiving his third and final infraction. " Infraction number three," the bunny declared, but his cheerful mood was gone – as if it weren't real to begin with. A barrage of bullets tore the man apart, as the Jail Task Force set a prime example. " I didn't even have time to explain the prison's three-out rule," Nui-tan laughed, returning to his previous glee. From here the prisoners were led into a small empty chamber, where they lined up to enter the prison one at a time. What you come to realize upon stepping into the world, is that you're apart of something much larger, and that this is merely a trial by the current occupants of the prison. Pitting you against their forces, each inmates' power is revealed to the dominating factions through your use of it in combat. Though no one succeeds in conquering these adversaries, the test is deemed finished, and the altered are able to walk through the next gate out into the city. It opens into a fourway intersection, but as you walk to the center, you find yourself surrounded by crowds of people coming from each of the three streets. Each represents a different faction, hailing from the east, west, and south. The leaders of each approach the newcomers with an air of arrogance, standing before them as they begin to claim prisoners. One by one, you are filtered into one of the three groups based on your abilties and personality; separating previously made subgroups, and inducting you into their ranks. What awaits you now is the political struggle between these factions, and a test of survival. Through the violence that erupts, will you find safety, or come to be yet another corpse?
