| | [atrb=style, opacity: 0.8; margin-bottom: -10px;] Remy had been throwing stones in the lake. For hours. Hours! Because he couldn't manage to make them skip more than three times. He had nothing better to do. His lady was off somewhere, ordering him not to come along, leaving him with tears in his eyes. So, he wandered off to the "Lac de Réflexion", as it was the only place where he could feel somewhat at ease on his own.
It reminded him of his homeland, Louisiana. He was a cajun, a local, despite having some asian blood running in his veins. He spoke the french of the place, knew all the hot spots of the Mississippi, knew the thieves guild (even if his knowledge of them was a bit dated by now). Area D, in general, scared him. He knew the other side of him liked it, as he could fight to his heart's content. But then, his other one allowed him free access far more than he took any of it himself. He only appeared when he was in trouble. And when his big brother Jäger, the man he had met on the boat, had gone for the Beauties of the West, he had followed like a puppy, hiding behind the man.
The Dogs especially, scared him. While the Gorillas looked big, tall and imposing, they had something calm about them. Had Jäger not been there, he might have gone there. Maybe. But the Dogs...they all looked like smirking criminals. Like his adoptive 'father' had been. They had the looks of people up to no good, who liked violence and wouldn't hesitate to use it upon others. And it scared him, as something in the back of his mind throbbed each time he thought about it. He knew that he protected him from the worst pain, but...
A shiver ran down his spine. He didn't want to think about it. Not now. Not ever. Those were dark times for him.
He threw his last stone and grinned when he noticed it made a fourth jump on the water. And humming a happy song, feeling satisfied with himself, he went to look for other peddles. He was having a rather good day after all, if the sun kept on shining like this.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true]When the wheel of time keeps changing, and we look up upon our gods with pity. What chance do we have then? Tell me who to look for◣ | ◣ It had been a while since he had been here, that was for sure. Usually Kira just hung around with all the Bigs. It seemed as though they wanted to protect him, as though that because he was small he needed some people to look after him. Ha! The sheer thought of that was ridiculous. He was the one that protected people, that was his job! Except...he had failed at that hadn't he. Ended up killing his brother, being forced away from his sister, thrown into this rat infested city of crap. It got on his nerves thats for sure. He thought about that day over and over, thinking just...why, why did he do that, what animalistic part of him caused him to do an act such as that. It baffled him, the question didn't have an answer, there was no cause. No, there's always a cause, always.
Kira walked around a bit, ending at up at a lake. He watched as some asshole who thought he was being all cool and melancholy, tried to skim a stone. The outcome was hilarious. The idiot couldn't even get five. Kira had done an experiment on this when he was younger, there is an optimum force, and angle, to be applied to achieve a result of more than five skims. It was simple physics, all you had to do was look it up in a book and practice for a few days and bang, you had yourself an 'impressive' new skill. Still smirking Kira walked up beside the idiot and looked for the perfect rock. He found it shortly, it was small, flat, round, and very light. "Watch and learn idiot." He flung the rock at his calculated angle, with the appropriate force, causing it to bounce on the surface of the water six times. Satisfied with his result, Kira walked over to a large rock and hopped on top of it.
Kira pulled out his yo-yo and began playing with it. "It's simple math dumbass, even a pre-schooler could do better than you are. It's kinda funny to watch though, so please carry on." He laughed at the man, it was an insulting laugh aimed to annoy this man. Kira decided to call him, 'the opposition'. He would play a mind game with this simpleton. Why you ask? Because he could. It's always been cause and effect, except possibly the human heart.

| | [atrb=style, opacity: 0.8; margin-bottom: -10px;] The young man turned swiftly around. He hadn't heard anyone coming closer and the young voice had startled him. He turned around and saw a kid, a teenager at most, just standing there. He blinked, rubbing the back of his neck, a bit disoriented. The kid sounded self assured, strong and knowledgeable. Far more knowledgeable than he was. But then, that wasn't very difficult. Remy had only gone to school when he was fifteen and rushed his way up so he could have a job. It had been hard work, but worth it.
He grinned, happy after all to have some company. Even if he was rude, he didn't attack or try to fight. Not to mention that he had shown him a neat trick to throw peddles on the water. Every single one of his moves was calculated - much like his were when he was on a job of thieving.
He clapped, looking genuinely impressed. He just never got it. But then, he had never had much chance to test it out. His kids, his kiddie students, were more important than skipping stones on the surface of the water. And their health, be it mental or physical was also more important. It hadn't been rare that he had to take care of bruises and worse that they got at home. Living in poor cities and in even poorer areas of it had its perks but also its negatives. And sometimes, the latter were overwhelming.
"Please teach me." he invited the kid with a smile. "No one's ever bothered doing so with me, so...please. It'd be something I could show the kids, once I go home."

Tell me who to look for◣ | ◣ Kira rose an eyebrow. "Dude are you freakin' high? Why was this guy asking him to teach him to throw a rock. That was just weird. It was like asking someone to...well...throw a rock. Was this guy broken in the head? What right minded Big would ask a Small to teach them. That almost never happened. Hang on...this might be my chance to have a little fun, hehehe.
"Actually on second thoughts. I've changed my mind. I will teach you. However there are several conditions that you must comply with, understand? Firstly, you must address me now on as, Kira-sensei. Secondly, if you ever plan to use this information for evil, I will hunt you down, and put firecrackers in your boxers, kay? Thirdly, I get first dips on any chicks that pass by this area. Finally, if shit goes down, then you are always in the wrong. I am right no matter what. These are my conditions, if you don't like them, then go ahead and leave now, else I might screw with you mind with my power. I tell yah, I don't look like it, but I am actually one of the S Rank's that arrived, don't tell anyone though." Kira giggled and smirked, this was truly going to be a fun experience, he could have just gained a lacky, and a Big no less. If the fool actually believed him that was, if he didn't...maybe he would steal his face. That would be hilarious. Imagine rocking up to some kid, then finding out that you were looking at yourself. Trippy or what?
The inner monologue, riveting as it was, began to bore Kira. His yo-yo shot down. Apply a light tap when it reaches the apex to watch it bounce. The yo-yo bounced. Slightly twist the finger, then rapidly twist it in the counter direction. The yo-yo span, then jumped, the added spin gave it new height, returning to Kira's hand. Now that. Was magic!

| | [atrb=style, opacity: 0.8; margin-bottom: -10px;] Okay. Remy was maybe nice and kind and cuddly and somewhat on the naive side when it comes to some things. But he was not an idiot. And this kid was simply acting like a moron. If he thought he could pull of such stunts with anyone, he'd be wrong. He was lucky that he wasn't a violent kind of person (well, not at the moment) and that he had no intentions of ever causing trouble to anyone if he could avoid it.
Though, on the other hand, he was nagging him to tease the kid. To allow him to show up and to say a few nasty truths in the kid's face. He'd learn about them in a less painful way with him than he'd hear with with his superiors. But Remy decided against it, forcing his move violent side aside. He wasn't going to get into trouble already. He had promised to get back home safely to his lady and promised Jäger that he wouldn't seek out more trouble than he could handle. And this kid could be too much to handle.
Remy frowned slightly and crossed his arms. He didn't get it though why the kid was being so hostile. He knew that his request seemed stupid, but... "Please excuse me for not being in your standards of normalcy." he replied. "And you would have to be a fool to believe a single word of what you just said." He rose an eyebrow. "If you must know, I was genuinly interested. But if you wish to go through life on your own and be a disappointment to who cares about you and try to get caught up in a web of lies, go ahead."
The teacher was speaking now. He had often said similar things to kids he had had in his class. He had no idea if it'd work on teenagers, but so far, he had always had a positive result. If the kids didn't care about their parents, they did about their siblings or about him and apologized...and then changed most of the time, putting all possible efforts to please him. He didn't mind if the kid wouldn't change. For him or anyone. He merely wished for him to live and not to die in this place. "If I won't kill you in the future for insolence, then others will, kid." he added silently, his hands in his pocket. "I've seen people being killed for less than that...And I would hate to see that happen to you."
Remy smiled at the kid and then grabbed a stone, throwing it at the water, watching it hop three times and then land with a plop in the lake. Merde. "Not to mention that, if you were the latest S-rank arrivals, I would've recognized you."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true]When the wheel of time keeps changing, and we look up upon our gods with pity. What chance do we have then? Tell me who to look for◣ | ◣ Kira simply laughed at the man, and put his yo-yo away. The fool wasn't so much of a fool as he had first thought. This was good, it narrowed down the slots he could place this man into. Kira found that everyone that existed in the world, fit into one kind of 'slot' or another. Many other people had also found this, and followed the idea, linking it (ever so stereotypically) to day to day life. For example, at first this dumbass standing before Kira, would have been a two or a three, of clubs in a pack of cards. These are some of the dullest, moronic, dead to life, people that can exist. However Kira is nothing if not adaptable, so he moved this man up in his expectation...slightly.
"Haha, fine your not that much of an idiot. However when I say I'm S rank, I'm serious." Kira jumped down from the rock and pushed his hand into the mans face, blocking all view. As soon as contact was made, two fox tails sprang up behind Kira, he grew little fox ears, and his pupils took on an orange wolfish image. This did not stay long though, as Kira's body began to shift, quickly becoming taller, and his physique changed drastically. Before the man in front of him could open his eyes, Kira had become him. The boy no longer stood smirking, mocking the older man. Instead, an image of the man, like looking in a mirror, stood, smirking at him. Only the orange, wolf eyes remained unchanged. "Don't mock another person's powers fool. Else one day they'll come to bit you back." He laughed again and walked back over to his rock, sitting down again, he simply looked at the man standing before him.
Time for some more fun
"It's funny, I can tell all things about you from this body. Your past. Your future. Your aims. Your goals. Your loves. Your hates. The list goes on. I could easily use this body to commit a crime, and you would be blamed, isn't that fun. What if I could turn into a Leader? What if I was actually Leader of the Dogs? Hiding behind a false body, a puppet, and me it's only master. Haha, don't piss me off asshole, or I will tear you a new one...kay?"

| | [atrb=style, opacity: 0.8; margin-bottom: -10px;] The Cajun stared at the teenager, blinking. What the hell was this kid thinking? Like, really, was he on drugs? Dreaming? Had he snapped?
He could care less if he suddenly looked like him and if he had had fox tails, ears, whatever. It still didn't mean that he was an S-rank and in fact, had he been one, he would've shown something more impressive. Remy almost chuckled. The kid was cute in trying to prove that he was superior to the older man. Like a toddler, having a tantrum, hoping to get what he wanted. Of course, he would never say that out loud. If the kid had more powers than just mimicking a fox and himself, then he'd rather not provoke it any further.
Which still didn't mean that he agreed with the kid. Or liked him. He was arrogant and wished to know if anyone had ever spanked him for being like that. Because his hands were it- Remy glanced down at his hands that were in his pockets. When the kid had leaned forwards, he had reached for his pocket and grabbed the yo-yo he had been playing with earlier on. Merde, once again. He needed to stop having this habit. So badly. Jäger understood it, his mistress a bit. But strangers would not take it nicely he guessed. Well...he could always render it invisible he supposed. And then, hide it. And act as if nothing happened. Which wasn't going to be easy because only he could lie and not his actual self.
But the last question that the kid had thrown at him got him thinking. He could have answered immediately that he wasn't interested. And he wasn't. But still. He wanted to give it a moment of thought. Which ended a minute later. Remy showed up a determined face and squared his shoulders, towering over the kid and looking down at him with his black, piercing eyes. "If ye knew all of tha', ye wouldn't have asked me." he replied, his old accent resurfacing in his words. "'cause y' would've known it was a waste of time." And it was a waste of time. Even if he was the leader and made of him a leader, it would still not allow him off the island. Or gain the freedom he wished to have. Or to undo all the murders he had caused. No, it would only make him miserable and even less of a man than he already was. And this kid would better learn that fast.
And the dark haired man turned around, determined not to add anything else to this conversation. He had seen and heard enough of this kid. And wondered if he did have someone he loved still - because he was sure that if that was the case, he wouldn't be playing so lightly with his life. But if he was indeed alone, then Remy feared for his life and sanity. It would not last long, he knew that. And even more, the kid was going to die alone.
With a groan to himself, he stopped, when he was several meters away from the boy. And then fished the stolen yo-yo out of his pocket, throwing it back at Kira. "Mah name's Remy! If ye'd be ever interested in being actual friends, come by again whenever ye want!" And with that, he went back to walking off, feeling just a tad bit satisfied with himself. He hadn't gotten in trouble he couldn't handle. Jäger would probably like to hear that.

Tell me who to look for◣ | ◣ Kira cocked his head to one side looking at the man with bemusement. This man, Remy, had his own face staring at him, using his facial expressions to convey false emotions. Kira would have thought that this would anger any normal human being. It was possible that this man really was such a simpleton that he didn't understand the ramifications that came with another person stealing your face. It gave way to the ability to ruin your life, forever. Kira was currently one of the best spies the West had in their arsenal. If he could take the body of one of the strongest Altered around, then it was possible for him to fight less as a young boy, and more as a fully grown male. Not only this his powers didn't just stop there, that much was obvious to both of them. Yet this man decided to taunt him, the mind boggled at the thought of this man having any kind of responsibility.
"Think what you like, I am currently you, and I am bored. Despite now knowing everything about you, you seem not to care at all. Do you not believe me perhaps? For me to tell you all this information is indeed amazing, but the fact that you throw away this great knowledge without a care in the world just provides proof of your stupidity." He laughed, the sound that came from his mouth was completely different from the disgusting accent that came from the real Remy. Kira liked his better, it wasn't so...hillybilly-ish.
He caught his yo-yo in one hand. "Oh, and Remy? I don't have need of friends." Again he laughed. However he did not leave, instead he followed Remy. The image of two of the same person walking along was indeed a strange one though.

| | [atrb=style, opacity: 0.8; margin-bottom: -10px;] Ho? So the kid thought he knew everything about him? Then he had yet to meet the monster that was roaming inside of his mind. And, not to mention that the transformation was flawed. The eyes were unmistakably that of the spoiled brat and not his.
The most interesting thing about this situation was that Remy noticed that the kid was bluffing. Grasping for straws. He was bored, wanted the attention and tried to keep on impressing him. He almost agreed with his other side that was telling him that it would've been great if this kid met Jäger or Lucy. He'd see then that some people are scarier than him while not even reaching the full potential of their powers. "The knowledge I have gained has taught me enough to survive. And it has allowed me to see the flaws in your talk, kid. You might want to try to do something about the eyes you're wearing. They don't suit me." Remy didn't feel the need to insist on the fact that, if he could steal the yo-yo without super powers from the kid, then he was hardly an S-rank. if he was so strong, his instincts would have stopped him and badly so.
He flashed an insolent grin at the other male and kept on walking, hands in the pockets of his long, leather coat. The air was fresh and the hour slowly passing. Mid afternoon, there was still a lot of things he could do. Even if the kid kept on hanging around with him, he knew nothing bad would happen. "Y'know, I feel pretty sorry for you. And for those who raised you right now." he suddenly stated, turning around and staring straight at Kira, head tilted a bit to the left. The Cajun stopped walking and blinked a few times, observing himself. He was told he was a handsome person. But that was all. People laughed at his mentality, his morals, his way of seeing things. And yet, he was strong - nothing much affected him anymore. He had seen horror, now he simply took things as they were. No more surprises, only state of things.
"I pity humans who think they should live without friends. It's pretty lonesome and sad in the end, because I am sure that they were not born to die alone one day." Remy shrugged lightly and got a distant look in his eyes. He had been alone for long years, when he was a child. And even when he finally had his foster parents, no person of his age came to truly accept him. He was a weird, freakish person who had been a thief and thus should be still a criminal. He was the teacher who told lies about honorable parents abusing their children while there was proof of the abuse. And finally, he had been the filthy altered that infected everyone with his freakishness and should thus die. And in the end, he had killed everyone in a blind rage. And gotten out of it alive, after having faced a mob of angry adults who had been armed and who had been stronger than him.
"D'y'have family?" he suddenly asked, eyes still looking at the afar and himself blocking the way off with his body. "Because I know how painful it is to be alone in the end, being the sole one still alive. It is worse than dying, the fact you live. Because you can't find redemption to anyone, not even yourself, no matter what you do."
He brought his hand up to Kira's head and ruffled his own hair, smiling again. "Don't become a monster like me. Because one day, you might kill someone you care for while trying to find justice for yourself."

Tell me who to look for◣ | ◣ Okay, so it didn't take much to make Kira mad. But if you wanted to make him truly angry, all you had to do was mention his family. Even if you drop a hint at his family, or possible talk about your own family problems, or how happy you and your family are. This is all a big no-no while Kira is around. It makes him super pissed. Like, he turns super saiyan on you. Unfortunately Remy had just mentioned family. This was now a very bad situation.
The illusion of Kira being Remy disappeared, revealing the boy again, with two tails, the fox eyes and teeth, and the little cute ears. Except now one of the tails had disappeared, and Kira looked like a wolf about to tear a rabbit apart. "You. You take that back. YOU TAKE THAT BACK! MY FAMILY! IS MINE! I HAVE MY FAMILY! THEIR MINE! LEAVE THEM ALONE! I HATE YOU! TAKE IT BACK YOU BASTARD! LEAVE MY SISTER OUT OF THIS!"
A tear rolled down Kira's cheek as they flowed down relentlessly. He wasn't crying on purpose, he didn't do that. He never cried before. Only now. He didn't understand. "When...when my powers first came...I accidentally killed my little brother. SO DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT DEATH! AND FRIENDS! AND FAMILY! I HOPE YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY DIE VIOLENTLY!"
With a heart retching gasp for air, Kira launched himself at Remy. The attack was sudden, and his outstretched fist was aimed directly at Remy's chin. If the attack hit, it would hurt. Kira didn't stop there, he unleashed a flurry of attacks at Remy, fuelled by rage.

| | [atrb=style, opacity: 0.8; margin-bottom: -10px;] Ah, he had hit a nerve, Remy realized when Kira suddenly exploded. His image vanished, leaving the sight of an angry teenager with fox like features. He seemed to be on the verge of crying as well to erupt like a volcano, as if conflicted, hurt, scared and saddened at the same time, mixing that with fury and desperation - a look that Remy had worn before.
The attack was sift, fast and painful. But he didn't dodge it - the black haired young man didn't see the point of doing so. Instead, he grabbed a hold on the other altered and hugged him tightly. He wouldn't let go of the kid, who clearly cared a lot about his family and was scared for their safety. The Cajun listened patiently to his story, silently, not commenting anything about it. But, even so, he knew what this lad was going through. He had killed his own brothers before as well, sisters, parents. More than half of his village had died and in the end, he had nothing left. No one there to tell him it would be fine. Hence why he would never get redemption.
But Kira...he had a sister. One who was waiting for him on this piece of land that was Area D. And he needed her, as support. He was a kid after all. And it was natural. "They all died, kiddo. I killed them. All of them, before and after my powers showed up. My thieving brothers, when I had to end their sufferings from having a bullet lodged in their chest and they couldn't die without suffering for hours if not days. And when my village, my sole family rejected me, I went in a frenzy of rage and killed them all, in a painful way." He tightened his grip on the teenager, hugging him as if he was a lifeline. He rubbed his back, as to soothe the pain he was expressing and hoping that his tears would slowly stop. "I'm nonredeemable, but you...you're still a kid, mon ami. You have family who still accepts you for who you are, who forgave you, am I not right? So, forgive yourself for what you have done, because I am sure that your little brother wouldn't want you to suffer over his accidental death."
Then, slowly, he released Kira, grinning. He had bruises all over his body he knew. It hurt, but, he couldn't help it. He felt as if he had found another companion. Maybe even a protector once he would grow up and him still live. "You're strong." And the kid was, for sure.

Tell me who to look for◣ | ◣ The hug took Kira by surprise. He didn't expect something so sudden and friendly. The tears sprang from his eyes and darkened the mans cloths. Kira beat his fists against his chest nonetheless. All he wanted was his sister, his brother, and to go home. But all of those had been wrenched from him. God pitied how weak he was. His knowledge counted for jack shit in front of the all powerful being. He was looked upon with contempt, and pity. He hated this life, but he wasn't about to give up on it yet. If he just got a little stronger, maybe, it was possible, to regain at least one of the things he wanted. Hope was fuel for survival. Kira believed that was the only reason religion existed, to give hope to others. Hope could be used in a horrible situation to carry on, live on, stay upbeat, etcetera.
The fox ears and tail disappeared as Kira's powers ran out. Through broken sobs he spoke into Remy's chest. "Does it...get...any...easier?" This man wouldn't have been his first choice for comfort, but he was better than nothing. Better than a lake and the knowledge of how to throw a rock like a smartass.
"I'm not strong. I'm weak. Thats why I ended up like this." ◣ | ◣TAGGED: xxx ◣WORDS: ### ◣NOTES: xxx

| | [atrb=style, opacity: 0.8; margin-bottom: -10px;] Well, Remy knew he had it coming, but now he had a sobbing teen in his arms, who was still abusing his chest with his fists and also covering his shirt in tears (and snot most likely). But then, clearly, this one hadn't let any of his emotions go loose like that since a while, from what he managed to understand.
The animal like features disappeared, leaving a perfectly normal looking kid behind in his arms. He kept on rubbing his back and slowly sank to the ground, as his left knee that had gotten a nasty kick, was throbbing in pain. The question he asked, left him to think for a moment. Did it get any easier? For him, it depended on what easier meant. If it meant if his guilt ever lifted, it was a lie. Every morning he woke up, covered in cold sweat and breathing hard, needing a shower because he could smell and feel the blood on his hands still. But with the friends he had made so far, it was more bearable. He supposed that for this kid it would get easier eventually once he found his sister and some people on this island he could trust and befriend. "That's something you got to discover yourself, kiddo." the Cajun finally said. "Because every human lives through this differently."
A hand patted Kira on the head, somewhat awkwardly, not quite sure if you could do the same things you did to a toddler to a teenager. "You were weak maybe. But you found the will to keep up, did you not? You wish to grow stronger, so you can protect your sister and what you got left, right?" Slowly, Kira was pried off him and he stared him straight in the eyes, a strong, but warm look in them. Encouraging as well, Remy hoped. "If you keep up on living, you are strong. And I am sure you'll find people to help you with that task."
Remy smiled a toothy grin and scratched the back of his head, the childishness back on his face and a faint blush on his cheeks colored them. "And meanwhile, until you find someone, please let me help you to the best of my abilities, okay? I might not be that strong, but I'll do my best!"
